The Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly confirmed during his meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Mohammed Mustafa in New Alamein City, the efforts of his country to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and its firm rejection of the displacement of Palestinians. This meeting came as part of discussions on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Madbouly reiterated Egypt's steadfast position on the Palestinian issue, pointing to the solidarity of the Egyptian leadership and people with their Palestinian brothers in their plight, and their keenness to provide the necessary support to end the war on the Gaza Strip.
He also emphasized the complete rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land, stressing the need to halt the policies of home demolitions and settlement expansion in the Palestinian territories.
Madbouly stressed the continuation of intensive Egyptian efforts in international forums, and within the framework of mediation with Qatar and the United States, with the aim of returning to ceasefire negotiations and ensuring sustainable humanitarian aid delivery.
For his part, the Palestinian Prime Minister emphasized the importance of coordination between Palestine, Egypt, Arab countries, and international friends to stop the occupation's aggression against the Palestinian people and to open crossings for the entry of aid.
Mustafa also indicated the readiness of the State of Palestine to assume its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, under one political system and one law, with the necessity of unifying efforts with the West Bank.
This meeting comes after a series of meetings held by Hamas and Palestinian factions in Cairo to discuss reaching an agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Seven Palestinian factions confirmed their responsiveness to initiatives to stop the aggression and called on Egypt to sponsor an urgent national meeting that includes all Palestinian forces to reach a unified strategy to confront the occupation's plans.
Mustafa is expected to head to the Rafah border crossing to inspect the crossing area and the warehouses designated for storing humanitarian aid, marking the first visit by a senior Palestinian official to the crossing since the onset of the aggression.
The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has worsened since the occupation took control of the crossing, leading to the prevention of aid entry and the halt of patients leaving for treatment, amid a significant deterioration in health services.
Israel continues to commit grave violations against Palestinians, with the genocide resulting in more than 61,000 martyrs and 155,000 injured, necessitating urgent international action to stop these crimes.
Egypt rejects any attempts aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land and creating a new reality in which it is impossible to live.
