UNRWA calls for a return to a unified aid system led by the United Nations in Gaza.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed in its recent statements that replacing the UN aid system in the Gaza Strip with an alternative entity driven by political motives is one of the main reasons for the widespread famine in the region. This statement comes at a time when Gaza is suffering from catastrophic humanitarian conditions.

UNRWA described the current system as an occupation-American aid system that lacks humanity and leads to chaos and death. It pointed out that this system has failed to meet the enormous needs of the population, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

UNRWA emphasized the urgent need to return to a unified coordination and distribution system in Gaza, led by the United Nations. It affirmed that this system must be based on the principles of international humanitarian law to ensure that aid reaches all those in need effectively and safely.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza requires an urgent response, as the population lives under extremely difficult conditions, necessitating effective international intervention to ensure the provision of necessary aid.

UNRWA, which plays a vital role in providing assistance to Palestinian refugees, confirmed that political solutions cannot come at the expense of human rights and the basic needs of the population.
