Intense Israeli attack on the Zaitoun neighborhood in Gaza and the destruction of 300 homes in 3 days.

Israeli occupation aircraft launched airstrikes early this Thursday morning, coinciding with ongoing artillery shelling on the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, where the occupation has destroyed 300 homes in 3 days. This comes after the approval of a plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip, further increasing the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Hospitals have documented the martyrdom of 100 Palestinians due to the Israeli bombardment across various areas of the Strip since early yesterday, including 38 aid seekers. The Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, one of the largest in Gaza City, has been subjected to a continuous military operation for several days, resulting in the displacement of many families.

The southern areas of Al-Zeitoun are adjacent to the Gaza Valley area, referred to by the occupation as the Netzarim axis, which is under Israeli control, where Palestinians are prohibited from settling except within the scope of obtaining the alleged American aid.

Earlier, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir approved a plan to reoccupy the Gaza Strip, including attacking the Al-Zeitoun area, where the army indicated that this operation began on Tuesday.

The spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza, Mahmoud Bissal, stated that the Israeli army is carrying out a focused military operation in Al-Zeitoun, where more than 300 homes have been destroyed in the past three days, committing massacres against several Palestinian families.

Bissal clarified that the army is using high-explosive bombs to destroy the vicinity of the targeted home, causing the maximum possible casualties. The Israeli army has begun intensive targeting of inhabited residential buildings, instilling a state of terror among their residents.

The current aggression on Al-Zeitoun comes after the Israeli security cabinet approved a plan to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip, which sparked protests in Israel, where organizers considered the operation a death sentence for the prisoners.

The plan begins with the occupation of Gaza City by displacing citizens, then surrounding the city and conducting incursions into residential areas. This is followed by a second phase that includes the occupation of refugee camps in the central Strip, which Israel has destroyed large parts of.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, and destruction, ignoring international calls. The genocide has resulted in 61,722 martyrs and 154,525 injured, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster.

Suffering continues in Gaza with hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and famine has claimed the lives of many children and women, necessitating urgent international action to stop these violations.
