The Israeli occupation authorities notified today, Wednesday, of the demolition and evacuation of more than 13 residential, agricultural, and industrial facilities in the Wadi al-Hawd area of the town of Al-Eizariya, southeast of Jerusalem. These notifications come as part of the ongoing occupation policy to displace Palestinians from their lands.
The Jerusalem Governorate clarified in a statement that these notifications are part of a plan to pave the way for the so-called "Life Line Road" colonial project, which aims to expand Israeli settlements at the expense of Palestinian lands.
The statement indicated that this step came just one day after the distribution of about 14 similar notifications in the Wadi al-Jamal and Jabal Baba areas, which increases the severity of the threats facing the town. These measures reflect the occupation's policy of isolating Palestinian areas from one another.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission also reported that the occupation authorities issued 33 demolition notifications last month, with these notifications concentrated in the Bethlehem Governorate with 19 notifications, Hebron with 6 notifications, and 3 notifications each in Qalqilya and Tubas, and one notification each in Tulkarem and Jerusalem.
These measures are part of a comprehensive Judaization plan aimed at separating Wadi al-Jamal and Jabal Baba from the town of Al-Eizariya and completely isolating it, threatening to sever the geographical connection between Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The occupation authorities continue to implement their colonial policies, contributing to the worsening humanitarian and economic conditions in the Palestinian areas and increasing the suffering of the local population.
These measures are part of a comprehensive Judaization plan that links this colonial project to broader plans.
