Egyptian Foreign Minister: 15 Palestinian figures will manage Gaza for 6 months, and we are working to revive the truce.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Aty, revealed new understandings for the administration of the Gaza Strip, where 15 Palestinian technocrats will manage the sector under the supervision of the Palestinian Authority for a transitional period of six months. This step comes as part of efforts to enhance unity between Gaza and the West Bank, with Abdel Aty emphasizing the importance of this unity in the context of current events.

Abdel Aty also announced that Egypt is working in cooperation with Qatar and the United States to revive a sixty-day truce in Gaza, as part of new efforts aimed at ending the ongoing war. He clarified that the main goal is to return to the initial proposal that includes a ceasefire along with the release of some hostages and Palestinian detainees.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister pointed out that the entry of humanitarian and medical aid into Gaza must be done without obstacles and without conditions, stressing the necessity of providing suitable conditions for the Palestinian civilians in the besieged sector.

Abdel Aty strongly criticized the occupation's attempts to displace Palestinians, indicating that there is no legal or moral justification for removing them from their land. He affirmed that such attempts would lead to their inability to return, considering that Tel Aviv is only seeking to grant them an exit ticket.

In a broader context, Abdel Aty confirmed that Cairo faces many challenges and threats from various directions, and that it operates as a state of institutions to contain these conflicts. He mentioned the intensive communications with international partners such as the United States, Russia, China, and the European Union to find a peaceful solution to these acute conflicts.

Abdel Aty emphasized that among Egypt's constants is not to engage in any alliances or polarizations, and not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, reflecting Egypt's steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian cause.
