On the evening of Saturday, settlers uprooted olive trees in Khirbat Mas'ud, located southwest of Jenin, which sparked the anger of local residents.
Local sources reported that bulldozers belonging to the settlers uprooted several olive trees on citizens' lands, with the aim of paving colonial roads leading to the settlement established in the area since 2019.
Last week, the occupation's bulldozers began leveling lands and olive trees owned by citizens from Zubda and Khirbat Mas'ud, marking the cultivated olive tree lands with orange signs, despite the fact that the owners possess ownership documents and specific land titles.
Khirbat Mas'ud is part of the Zubda village council and consists of three population clusters: Iraq al-Dawar, Khirbat Faris, and Khirbat al-Qusur, with approximately 350 residents.
The occupation is leveling areas adjacent to the colonial outpost established on the mountain and seizing dozens of agricultural dunams in the region, which extends from Qafin to the mountains of Ya'bad south of Jenin.
These violations come in the context of the ongoing occupation policy of seizing Palestinian lands, which increases the suffering of citizens and threatens their livelihoods.
