An Israeli drone targets a car in southern Lebanon.

An Israeli drone targeted a vehicle on Saturday between the towns of Aitaroun and Ainata in southern Lebanon, launching four missiles in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement reached in late 2024.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the airstrike carried out by the Israeli drone did not clarify whether it resulted in any casualties or injuries.

On Friday, journalist Mohammed Shahada, director of the "Hawana Lebanon" website, was martyred due to an airstrike by an Israeli drone on his car on the Sidon-Tyre road in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese agency also announced on Thursday that 8 people were killed, including a Syrian, and 12 others were injured as a result of three Israeli airstrikes targeting areas in eastern and southern Lebanon, marking the highest toll in three weeks.

It is noteworthy that Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon on October 8, 2023, which escalated into a wide war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 martyrs and about 17,000 injured.

On November 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and the occupying state came into effect, but Tel Aviv violated it more than 3,000 times, resulting in 280 martyrs and 586 injured according to official data.

In defiance of the ceasefire agreement, the occupying army executed a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon while continuing to occupy five hills it seized during the recent war.
