Intensive Saudi diplomatic movement after Israel's approval of the plan to fully occupy Gaza.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan conducted phone calls with his counterparts from several countries as part of an intensive diplomatic effort following the Israeli government's approval of a plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip. These calls come at a very sensitive time, as Saudi Arabia seeks to enhance international efforts to stop Israeli violations.

The phone calls included discussions with the foreign ministers of Egypt, France, Turkey, and Germany, as well as the High Representative of the European Union, where the developments in the Gaza Strip and the importance of stopping Israeli violations were discussed. The Saudi minister emphasized the need to intensify international efforts to stop the war and end the humanitarian suffering.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry announced its firm rejection of the Israeli occupation's decision to fully occupy the Gaza Strip and called on the international community to take immediate action to prevent genocide and the forced displacement of Palestinians. It also condemned the occupation authorities' decision in the strongest terms, reflecting its steadfast position on Palestinian rights.

Earlier, the Israeli government approved a gradual plan to occupy the Gaza Strip, which includes the displacement of the residents of Gaza City to the south, raising significant concerns about the humanitarian situation in the region. The plan also includes military incursions into residential areas and refugee camps, further complicating the situation.

According to United Nations data, 87 percent of the Gaza Strip is now under occupation or subject to evacuation orders, warning of catastrophic consequences for the population. These figures reflect the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by Palestinians amid ongoing aggression.

Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023, Israel has committed massacres against Palestinians, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 61,000 Palestinians and the injury of over 152,000 others. These figures reflect the extent of the humanitarian suffering endured by the Palestinian people, amid international indifference to repeated calls to stop the aggression.
