"The Organization of Islamic Cooperation" condemns Israel's decision to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned, in a statement, the Israeli decision to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip, which involves the forced displacement of about one million Palestinians from Gaza City and northern Gaza towards the south. The organization considered this decision a serious escalation in the series of crimes committed by the occupying state.

The organization described these crimes as genocide, destruction, starvation, displacement, and a continuous Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip. It affirmed that these actions represent a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a flagrant challenge to relevant United Nations resolutions.

The organization held the occupying state fully responsible for the consequences of these crimes, which exacerbate the unprecedented humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip. It noted that these actions require urgent international action to stop them.

The organization also condemned the serious escalation in the crimes of extremist settler groups, which are carried out under the protection of the occupying forces in the West Bank. It affirmed that the continued seizure of land, demolition of homes, and assaults on Islamic and Christian holy sites constitute a blatant violation of international law.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation called on the United Nations Security Council to take immediate and decisive action to fulfill its responsibilities in imposing a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire. It demanded the guarantee of delivering humanitarian aid and basic needs to all areas of the Gaza Strip without obstacles.

The organization also emphasized the necessity of providing effective international protection for the Palestinian people and taking the necessary measures to end the occupation, enabling Palestinians to realize their sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967, with Jerusalem as their capital.
