A new massacre by the occupation army claims the lives of nine Palestinians waiting for aid in Rafah and central Gaza
The ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip is taking the lives of innocents and increasing the suffering of our people amid the continued Israeli siege and aggression.
Today witnessed a new massacre committed by the occupation army in the Gaza Strip, where nine Palestinians waiting for aid were martyred, including five in northern Rafah and four in central Gaza, during a direct targeting by the occupation forces. These massacres come in the context of the escalation that has been ongoing since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023, which has resulted in hundreds of martyrs and thousands of injured, amid troubling international silence and clear complicity with the crimes of the occupation.
Our correspondent reported that the occupation forces directly targeted humanitarian aid distribution centers, leading to the martyrdom of several citizens and serious injuries to others. These assaults are part of the genocide policy being implemented by the occupying state against our people, especially amid the continued siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, which has exacerbated the humanitarian situation, with the number of martyrs exceeding 61,000 since the beginning of the aggression, and more than 151,000 citizens injured.
In the context of reactions, Palestinian resistance factions condemned these massacres, affirming that the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain, and that our people will continue their resistance until the occupation is defeated and their rights are restored. International human rights organizations also held the occupation fully responsible for the war crimes it commits, calling on the international community for urgent intervention to stop the massacres and lift the siege on Gaza, which exacerbates the suffering of the population and threatens the lives of children and women in particular.
