3 Dead and Injured in Occupation Shelling of a House in the Zeitoun Neighborhood East of Gaza
Three citizens were killed and others were injured as a result of the shelling of a house in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza, in a new escalation by the Israeli occupation.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces targeted a populated house in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of three citizens and injuries to others with varying degrees of severity.
This incident comes as part of a series of escalations that have been ongoing since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 61,000 Palestinians and injuries to about 150,000 others, according to preliminary figures.
Many victims remain under the rubble, while rescue and ambulance teams are unable to reach them due to the ongoing shelling and destruction of roads, which increases the suffering of the residents and threatens the lives of the injured.
The pace of the Israeli aggression on the sector is escalating, as the occupation continues to carry out airstrikes on homes and residential areas, in an attempt to impose its control over Palestinian areas, while the Palestinian resistance continues to respond to the assaults through various resistance operations.
Amid the ongoing aggression, the suffering of the civilian population is increasing, especially for children and women, who bear the brunt of the shelling and destruction, amidst a state of grief and anxiety over the fate of families who have lost their loved ones.
