The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's demolition of the under-construction mixed Al-Aqaba primary school in the village of Al-Aqaba, east of Tubas, which was built with support from the French government. The ministry affirmed that this act is part of a long series of ongoing violations of international laws and norms that guarantee every child's right to education, and constitutes a systematic targeting of Palestinian educational infrastructure.

The ministry pointed out in its statement that the demolition comes in the context of the occupation's ongoing attempts to destroy schools and educational facilities in areas classified as "C," especially in the Jordan Valley and Masafer Yatta, with the aim of undermining the right of Palestinian children to education and tightening the noose on the future of upcoming generations. It emphasized that this aggression will not deter it from continuing its national and educational mission, and that it will work in cooperation with local and international partners to rebuild what has been destroyed and provide a safe educational environment for children in all areas, especially those that are under continuous targeting.

The ministry stressed that the occupation's targeting of Palestinian educational infrastructure is a blatant violation of human rights, and called on human rights organizations to fulfill their responsibilities towards protecting the right of Palestinian children to education, affirming that the occupation aims to destroy the future of Palestinian generations through these ongoing assaults on schools and educational facilities.

The ministry also called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently and take responsibility to stop these repeated assaults, which threaten the future of Palestinian children and hinder their right to education, especially in areas subjected to siege and judaization. It affirmed that the Palestinian people will continue their struggle to protect their children's right to education and confront Israeli policies that aim to destroy the future of upcoming generations.
