The Occupation Begins Demolition Operations Near Jalazone Camp
The occupation continues its violations through demolition operations targeting Palestinian homes and their sources of livelihood in a systematic manner.
This morning, Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces began carrying out demolition operations in the vicinity of the Jalazone camp north of Ramallah, where occupation bulldozers invaded the neighboring Al-Zira'a neighborhood in a move aimed at expanding the Judaization and settlement operations at the expense of Palestinian lands.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces, accompanied by military bulldozers, started demolition work in the area, in an attempt to impose a new reality that threatens the existence of the residents and their sources of livelihood, amid a state of tension and anger among the local population who confirmed that these measures are part of the occupation's plans to forcibly displace the residents.
In a related context, occupation statistics for last July revealed the implementation of 75 demolition operations, affecting 122 Palestinian facilities, including 60 inhabited homes, 11 uninhabited facilities, and 22 agricultural facilities, in addition to 26 other sources of livelihood, as well as the issuance of 33 demolition notices for other Palestinian facilities.
These measures come as part of the occupation's policy aimed at reducing the Palestinian presence in the occupied territories and imposing complete control over areas classified as "C," within the framework of ongoing Judaization and settlement plans that target emptying the land of its original inhabitants.
Palestinians assert that demolition operations constitute a blatant violation of human rights and represent a serious escalation that threatens the stability of the population and increases the suffering of Palestinian families who find themselves threatened with losing their homes and sources of livelihood forcibly, amid a troubling international silence regarding these ongoing violations.
