The Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale arrest campaign in Hebron Governorate, where 12 citizens were arrested today, Wednesday, including three women, following a violent raid on their homes. This marks a new escalation targeting the residents of the city and its surroundings.
Security and local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Dura south of Hebron and arrested Akram Al-Fasfous, Raafat Abu Sba'a, Saed Al-Namoura, Abdo Munjed Qazzaz, Nadim Faqousa, Hassan Al-Hazeen Al-Darawish, Harith Mohammed Al-Arab Al-Sharha, and Amir Mohammed Kamel Nassar, in addition to the arrest of Imad Abu Hasna and his mother, and Umm Azmi Al-Darabeesh from Beit Ummar north of Hebron.
The occupation forces also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances of the city of Hebron and its towns, villages, and camps, closing several main and secondary roads using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds, in an attempt to impose control and prevent the movement of citizens intensively.
Sources clarified that the arrests are part of a wide-ranging raid campaign targeting citizens' homes, and come in the context of the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people, especially in areas experiencing increasing tensions, with the aim of intimidating the residents and imposing control over the occupied areas.
