The Occupation Army Orders Residents of the Zeitoun Neighborhood in Gaza Strip to Evacuate Immediately Towards the Mawasi Area

The Israeli occupation army issued direct orders this Wednesday morning to the residents of the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, demanding that they evacuate their homes immediately and head towards the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, which is classified by the occupation as the "humanitarian area."

This decision comes amid escalating aggression against the Gaza Strip, with increasing threats to expand ground operations east of the city, exacerbating the suffering of hundreds of families living in dire humanitarian conditions, especially with repeated instances of displacement and the lack of basic services and necessities of life in the shelter areas.

The difficult humanitarian situation in the sector continues, as residents suffer from shortages of food and medicine, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure, amid the occupation's escalation of military operations, which directly threatens the lives of civilians and increases their daily suffering.

In a related context, these orders come at a time when threats of launching wide-scale ground operations are escalating, which exacerbates the state of anxiety and fear among the residents, especially with the ongoing aggression and its intensification in various areas of the sector.

The Mawasi area is classified by the occupation authorities as the "humanitarian area," where humanitarian aid is usually provided; however, the continuation of aggression threatens the safety of the residents and increases their suffering, especially in light of the absence of security and basic services.
