The government media office in Gaza announced the death of 20 Palestinians and the injury of dozens due to the overturning of an aid truck over a gathering of relief seekers in the center of the sector. The statement clarified that the occupation forces forced the truck to pass through an unsafe route, leading to the tragic incident, emphasizing that the occupation deliberately seeks to place civilians in paths of death and danger.

The office held the occupation and its supporting countries, led by the United States, fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian crisis experienced by more than 2.4 million Palestinians in the sector, describing what is happening as "a complete genocide" according to international law. It called on the international community and the United Nations for urgent intervention to fully and safely open the crossings and ensure the flow of food, medical aid, and fuel without obstacles or political conditions, warning that the situation in Gaza has crossed all red lines.

This incident comes as part of a series of bloody events that Gaza has witnessed in recent months, where hundreds of civilians have fallen betweendead and injured while trying to access aid, amid the tightened siege imposed on the sector. Reports confirm that the continuation of the siege and the restriction of the movement of residents increases their suffering and deepens the humanitarian crisis.

In a related context, Tel Aviv has begun since May 27 to implement a plan for distributing aid through an entity called "Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation," which is supported by Israel and the United States but rejected by the United Nations. Since the start of this mechanism, the number of martyrs has risen to 1,516 Palestinians, in addition to more than 10,067 injured, due to the repeated firing by the Israeli occupation army on those waiting for aid, according to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Since October 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a war of extermination against the residents of the sector, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of more than 61,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 150,000, in addition to displacing most of the sector's residents, amid unprecedented destruction since World War II, according to reliable Palestinian and international reports.
