56 Dead in Gaza Since Dawn Today, Half of Them Aid Seekers
The continuation of the Israeli aggression exacerbates the suffering of the Palestinians and threatens the lives of all
Medical sources in hospitals in the Gaza Strip reported that the death toll since dawn today has reached 56 martyrs, including 27 aid seekers who were waiting to receive essential humanitarian supplies. The Ministry of Health in the Strip confirmed that hospitals recorded the death of 6 Palestinians in the past 24 hours due to starvation and malnutrition, including an infant and five adults, amid the ongoing blockade imposed on the Strip.
The Ministry of Health and international humanitarian organizations warned of the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to the shortage of food and medical supplies, which threatens the lives of thousands of Palestinians, especially those waiting for aid. Sources indicated that three Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in Deir al-Balah this morning, while occupation aircraft bombed the eastern areas of Gaza City, including the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, while occupation forces opened fire on the Al-Bureij camp in the center of the Strip.
In a related context, Palestinians mourned the bodies of several martyrs, including children, who were martyred yesterday evening by the fire of the occupation forces near the aid center in the Zikim area in northern Gaza Strip, through official and popular ceremonies at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The Ministry of Health had announced last Saturday that the death toll of those waiting for aid had reached 1,422 dead, and more than 10,000 injuries since the beginning of the aggression on May 27.
The ministry clarified that the toll of Israeli extermination since October 7, 2023, has reached 60,933 dead and 150,027 injured, continuing the policy of killing and destruction carried out by the occupation forces against Palestinian civilians. According to the daily report from the Ministry of Health, the toll of victims among aid seekers in the past 24 hours reached about 29 dead and 300 injuries, with ongoing gunfire directed at Palestinians gathering near distribution centers to receive aid, leaving them between dying of hunger or bullets.
In light of this escalation, Palestinians are facing a catastrophic humanitarian situation, as their suffering worsens day by day, amid the ongoing Israeli aggression that threatens the lives of all and increases the suffering of Palestinian families, especially those waiting for essential humanitarian aid to survive.
