A Palestinian Killed and Widespread Arrests in the West Bank During Escalation of Occupation

Palestinian sources reported this morning, Monday, that a Palestinian from the Jenin camp was killed after being killed while near the town of Qabatiya in the northern West Bank, where Israeli occupation forces bombed a besieged house where militants were taking shelter.

Channel 12 in Israel reported that the Israeli army killed a wanted Palestinian and arrested another near Qabatiya, while activists broadcast footage showing violent clashes around the besieged house, amid rising tensions in the area.

In the context of arrests, Israeli occupation forces arrested three Palestinians, including an injured boy, after raiding and searching their homes in southern Bethlehem, in a widespread arrest campaign targeting various areas of the West Bank.

Occupation forces also stormed the city of Ramallah and several villages and towns, launching a wide campaign of raids and arrests, as part of the escalation of their military operations against Palestinians in the West Bank.

A Palestinian report released on Sunday indicated that occupation forces have arrested about 18,500 Palestinians since the beginning of the genocide war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, amid ongoing military operations and widespread arrests.

The West Bank, including East Jerusalem, is witnessing repeated assaults by the army and settlers, amid a military operation that has been ongoing for more than seven months in the camps of northern West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 1,012 Palestinians and the injury of about 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,000 Palestinians, according to official Palestinian data.
