The Israeli occupation army announced on Thursday that eight of its soldiers were injured in an incident it described as "operational" in the northern Gaza Strip.
In a statement published by the private Channel 12, he said that eight soldiers were injured, two of them moderately and six lightly, in an "operational accident" in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation army stated that the injured were transferred to the hospital for treatment, and that their families were informed of the incident.
The term "operational incident" is used by the Israeli military to refer to an incident that does not result from direct engagement, but occurs during a military activity or field mission.
As of Thursday evening, 895 Israeli soldiers had been killed and 6,134 wounded since the start of the war on Gaza, according to military data, which faces local accusations of concealing even greater losses.
Israel imposes strict censorship on the publication of its losses in Gaza and conceals the true death toll, suggesting that the reported numbers are likely to rise.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide, backed by the United States, left more than 203,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
