German Ambassador Oliver Owcza visited Al-Quds newspaper today, days before the end of his tenure in Palestine. He will then move to Qatar, where he will begin his new assignment.
Ovcha expressed his appreciation for Al-Quds, commending its development and independence, and emphasizing the importance of the role of free media in spreading awareness and deepening the values of truth, justice, and freedom.
Ovcha emphasized the Palestinian people's soft power, which qualifies them to assume roles and tasks within the international system, enabling them to achieve their right to freedom and establish their state within the framework of the two-state solution supported by Germany.
For his part, Editor-in-Chief Ibrahim Melhem commended the role played by Ovcha during his work in Palestine, expressing his appreciation for his efforts in providing German support to the Palestinian people.
The German embassy held a farewell ceremony for the ambassador last week, attended by numerous ministers, officials, and civil society representatives.
The day after tomorrow, Wednesday, "I" will publish a special interview conducted by our correspondent, Muhannad Yassin, with Ambassador Ovcha. During the interview, he discussed numerous issues and topics related to the Palestinian people and the unprecedented challenges facing the Palestinian cause amid growing international support for the cause.
