Danish fashion campaign sparks anger in Israel

Danish online fashion website Nettaker13 sparked widespread controversy after launching a new clothing collection titled "Global Intifada," featuring slogans and designs opposing the Israeli occupation. The campaign sparked a wave of anger among Israelis.

The collection, which was launched on the website, includes T-shirts printed with slogans such as "Zionists are not welcome here," as well as images of Abu Obeida, the military spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

One of the designs featured Abu Obeida's face blended into a map of Palestine against a black background, which the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth considered a public show of support for Hamas.

The price of items in this collection reaches approximately $35, with the site imposing additional shipping fees on orders to the occupied territories, a clear indication of its refusal to sell to Israelis, according to the site's description. This move sparked a wave of criticism from settlers, who considered it to be incitement and clear discrimination.

According to the Hebrew newspaper, observers point out that this event reflects a growing trend toward using cultural and artistic expression, such as fashion, as a platform to express sharp political positions against the occupying entity. Some consider this move an attempt to provoke the settler community and re-enact the conflict in new arenas.
