The death toll in the Gaza Strip rises to 55,432.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 55,432, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.

It added that the death toll has risen to 128,923 since the start of the aggression, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense teams.

It pointed out that the number of dead who arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours reached 68 (including two martyrs whose bodies were recovered), and 182 were injured, while the death toll and injuries since March 18, after the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, reached 5,139 dead and 16,882 injuries.

It noted that the total number of aid victims who arrived at hospitals from areas designated for aid distribution reached 338, with more than 2,831 injured, including 38 who died in the past 24 hours.
