Israeli media reported that a female settler was killed and two others were seriously injured in a shooting attack targeting an Israeli vehicle near the Burqin area, west of Salfit, on Wednesday evening.

Hadashot website reported without censorship that the announcement of the settler's death came shortly after she was injured in the operation, while Israeli Channel 13 confirmed that Israeli forces are conducting extensive combing operations in search of the perpetrator, in the vicinity of the Bruchin settlement. In the same context, the occupation forces set up military checkpoints at the entrances to towns in the Salfit Governorate, and sent successive reinforcements to the vicinity of the attack, where they stormed villages, and closed the main roads and entrances as part of the pursuit campaign.

Israeli media also reported that commandos and paratroopers were called in to participate in the pursuit of the perpetrator.

The occupation's Army Radio reported that the Salfit operation was the fourth of its kind in the area within four months, and was carried out using a similar pattern and weaponry, with the perpetrator withdrawing after the attack.
