The Israeli army announced that nine soldiers were injured after an explosive device exploded in the Gaza Strip.

The occupation army added that among those injured by the explosive device explosion were two officers with the rank of colonel and lieutenant colonel.

Earlier today, the Hebrew website Hadashot Be'Zaman reported that a serious security incident occurred in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, during the early hours of the morning, followed by the evacuation of Israeli soldiers by military helicopters, according to the Palestinian Information Center.

The website confirmed the evacuation of a number of soldiers and officers injured by an anti-tank missile fired at the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, and that helicopters carried out evacuation operations to Tel Hashomer Hospital.

He noted that an Israeli military vehicle was directly targeted by an anti-tank missile, resulting in a high number of casualties. The Israeli army also dispatched helicopters to the Shuja'iyya neighborhood at the time of the incident and fired artillery shells.
