Netanyahu: The destruction of Gaza aims to displace people.

In a moment of anger and outrage, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that he was waging a war that could turn into a historic opportunity to eliminate a huge number of Palestinians. Speaking to a group of reserve army officers, he said that the destruction in Gaza was not a response to Palestinian "terrorism" but rather part of a deliberate plan aimed at displacing the people of the Strip.

This came after the officers criticized the Netanyahu government's policies, complaining about a war that "threatens the lives of the kidnapped soldiers and has no strategic goal other than to serve your party and personal interests." Netanyahu became enraged at them, banging his fist on the table and saying, "We are destroying Gaza completely, and they should not have a safe place to return to and live... They must leave," according to Haaretz.

In the same context, a transcript of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee revealed that members of the ruling right-wing party justified the policy of systematically starving the population of the Gaza Strip and preventing them from receiving medicine.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army said yesterday that it had intercepted a Houthi missile launched from Yemen and vowed to respond forcefully.
