Israel prepares for a massive mobilization to escalate the war on Gaza.

Israel is calling up tens of thousands of reservists for active duty as the occupying army wages a war of annihilation in besieged Gaza and other wars in Syria, Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank. Many Israeli reservists have already served in multiple deployments and are threatening to ignore redeployment orders.

According to Haaretz, Tel Aviv is preparing tens of thousands of call-up orders for reserve soldiers for active duty. The Israeli military is planning to expand its military operations in Gaza and needs more soldiers.

Reserve soldiers are expected to be deployed in Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, and Gaza. These additional forces will allow more Israeli forces to participate in operations during the war on Gaza.

Meanwhile, the military leadership is preparing plans to evacuate the town of Al-Mawasi along the Gaza coast. Israeli forces have forced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to live in the area, which has become a tent city. Now, Tel Aviv claims that Al-Mawasi has become a safe haven for Hamas and must be cleansed of all Palestinians. While Israel claims its goal is to free its hostages held by Hamas, the cleansing of Al-Mawasi, which Tel Aviv has designated as a safe zone, is further evidence that Israel's goal is to cleanse the Strip of all Palestinians.

It is unclear how many Israeli reservists will return to active duty. In March, Haaretz reported that it had spoken with Israeli military officers who had been told by reservists that they would not return if called up. Most of them said they opposed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's judicial reforms and his efforts to oust Shin Bet security service chief Rosen-Bar.

Among those unwilling to return to active duty are officers and commanders in key positions. A total of 12,000 reservists have signed letters stating that they will not return to combat, with some estimates suggesting that up to 50% of Israeli reservists will not report for duty when called up.
