The lawyer of the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and Freed Prisoners reported after his last visit to the Al-Maskoubiya interrogation center that prisoner Fadi Zuhair Abu Attia (43 years old) from Al-Am'ari camp/Ramallah, was severely beaten when he was arrested at a military checkpoint, while returning from seeing a doctor in the city of Bethlehem on 02/11/2025. He was then transferred to a nearby camp, and was hung in the cold for more than 32 hours, then transferred to the Al-Maskoubiya interrogation center, and was brutally assaulted.
It is noteworthy that Abu Attia is a former prisoner who spent 13 years in the occupation prisons, and was released in 2018, for the occupation forces to re-arrest him in 2022, and sentence him to two years of administrative imprisonment, where he was released on 12/26/2024, i.e. 40 days before his current arrest.
The prisoner Abu Attia went on a hunger strike for 41 days in 2017, which caused him to fall into a coma that led to brain reactions. As a result, he began receiving certain medications and needed continuous follow-up and health care, while the prison administration deliberately deprived him of treatment, which negatively and significantly affected his health.
