Netanyahu: We will not withdraw from the Philadelphi and Netzarim axes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Tuesday evening that he is committed to his positions and will not withdraw from the Philadelphi and Netzarim axes.

Netanyahu said during a meeting with the families of Israeli prisoners: We will not withdraw from there, despite all the internal and external pressures.

He doubted the possibility of reaching an exchange deal, stressing that he seeks a deal that achieves the return of the largest possible number of living prisoners.

He said: I am not sure that there will be an agreement, but if there is an agreement, it will be an agreement that preserves Israel's security interests.

He added: We will not withdraw from strategic sites. We are working to dismantle Hamas rule and eliminate its military capabilities, and at the same time we are making an effort to return the kidnapped and preserve our strategic security goals in the face of great pressures from within and without.
