The "World Kitchen" organization suspends its activities in Rafah

The "World Central Kitchen" charitable organization decided to suspend its activities in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, following Israel's intensification of its attacks in the region.

The international organization said in a statement published on social media on Thursday, “The ongoing attacks forced us to suspend the work of our main kitchen in Rafah, and move many of our community kitchens to the north.”

The statement stressed that the situation in the region is “dangerous,” stressing that the World Central Kitchen team in Palestine, despite everything, continues its activities every day.

It explained that it distributed 100,000 meals in the region on Wednesday, and that it will increase its production capacity with the entry of 58 aid trucks into Gaza this week.

It is noteworthy that 7 employees of the “World Central Kitchen” were killed on April 1, as a result of an Israeli attack in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
