Brazil recalls its ambassador to Israel

Today, Wednesday, Brazil recalled its ambassador to Israel, and does not currently intend to appoint a replacement for him, according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse, citing a political source.

Ambassador Federico Mayer was originally summoned to consult with his government, after sharp statements were exchanged between Brazil and Israel, last February, regarding the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, while the source confirmed to the French Agency that it is not known whether the ambassador will return to Israel or not.
