Resuming aid from Cyprus to Gaza

A Cypriot source said that aid shipments resumed from Cyprus to Gaza late on Friday evening, with a ship carrying food supplies sailing to the besieged Palestinian Strip after the aid stopped following the killing of 7 aid workers in an Israeli raid.

The non-governmental organization World Central Kitchen suspended aid to review its activity in the Strip after the attack that occurred in early April, in a decision that led to the suspension of direct shipments from Cyprus to Gaza.

The Cypriot source said that a small cargo ship left Larnaca port loaded with aid donated by the UAE.
