US State Department: Reports of mass graves in Gaza are disturbing

The US State Department said on Tuesday that reports of mass graves being found in Gaza are disturbing.

Ambulance and rescue crews continue to recover the bodies of martyrs from a mass grave in the Nasser Medical Complex in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, after the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the city.

During their work over three days, the crews were able to recover the bodies of at least 310 martyrs. The bodies belonged to citizens of different groups and ages, who were killed by the occupation forces during their storming of the complex, and buried them collectively inside it.

Press sources confirmed that the largest number of martyrs were victims of mass graves, including women and children, as the occupation forces deliberately bulldozed dozens of bodies and buried them before withdrawing from any area in the Gaza Strip.

The sources indicated that there were hundreds of missing people in the Khan Yunis massacre, and the disappearance of about 2,000 citizens after the occupation forces withdrew from several areas in the Gaza Strip.
