A famous writer stands in solidarity with Gaza at the BAFTA Awards: Stop the massacre

The famous British screenwriter Paul Lafferty expressed his solidarity with Gaza, which has been subjected to a devastating Israeli war, since October 7, 2023.

At the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards ceremony, on Sunday evening, Lafferty, while taking souvenir photos, raised a banner reading: “Gaza... Stop the massacre.”

On Sunday, the capital, London, witnessed the distribution of the BAFTA Awards, in which the film “Oppenheimer,” which revolves around the manufacture of the atomic bomb during World War II, won the largest number of awards, including “Best Film,” “Best Director,” and 5 other awards.

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, according to Palestinian and UN data, which led to Israel being tried before the “International Justice” on charges of “genocide crimes” for the first time since its founding.
