Bashir Al-Hajji...an elderly Palestinian. Israeli soldiers took pictures of him helping him on the road, then executed him.

The story of an elderly Palestinian who was executed by the Israeli occupation sparked angry reactions on social media, after the occupation soldiers posted pictures of him on social media helping him by blocking the road, claiming humanity, then they executed him. Activists wondered if this sheikh was a soldier in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). To be a target for occupation.

The truth about what happened to the martyr Bashir Hajji was revealed when the occupation claimed that its army had humanity, as Israeli accounts circulated a picture showing an Israeli soldier helping an elderly Palestinian (79 years old), who was trying to cross from the north of the Gaza Strip to its south via the Salah al-Din Road.

But the granddaughter of the Palestinian elderly person exposed the Israeli story when she posted a photo on her Instagram account, accompanying it with a comment saying: “The occupation army forces executed my grandfather.”

The son of the elderly man also narrated the details of his father’s martyrdom, saying: “My mother, father, and I were on our way to southern Gaza, and when I turned around, I did not find them, so I went back to look for them, and when I arrived, one of the young men told me that my father had entered a house to rest because he was unable to continue walking. So I ran home to find my father a martyr.”

Treachery and betrayal

There were many comments on social media regarding the occupation’s execution of the Palestinian man, some of which were reported in the episode (11/15/2023) of the “Shabakat” program.

A social media pioneer named Bassam called for the story of the martyr Bashir Hajji to be published as widely as possible “to expose the criminality and brutality of the Zionist enemy.”

Badriya was not surprised by the occupation’s crime against the Palestinian sheikh, and wrote: “It is expected... Since when has Israel done something good? Know that if it does, it means it is planning a disaster.”

Reem asked: “Can a sheikh of this age be a Hamas soldier? And can he pose a threat or danger to the occupation?” “Never... the story is a story of genocide... completely genocide.”

Hammoud wrote in his comment: “They betrayed him, as is their custom, with treachery, betrayal, and breaking promises.”

Ammar went in the same context, saying: “The world says agreements and covenants are with the Zionists, but they have no covenant. They break contracts, treaties and promises.”
