New York - "Jerusalem" dot com - (dpa) - The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, arrived in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, this evening, Wednesday, to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Thursday.
He is scheduled to visit a yet-to-be-disclosed site outside the capital on Thursday.
As happened during Guterres' previous visit to Moscow this week, one of the main topics is likely to be the situation in the southeastern Ukrainian port city of Mariupol, where the Russian army is besieging Ukrainian forces and civilians.
Guterres had visited Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow, then traveled by train from Poland to Kiev.
