Ramallah, "Jerusalem" - dot com - The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs revealed, in a report issued on Sunday afternoon, the poor living and detention conditions of the detainees held inside the "Al-Jalama" detention center.
The authority stated that the "Al-Jalama" administration holds the prisoners in very narrow sections, as there are not enough beds in the rooms for the number of prisoners, and most of them sleep on the floor due to the overcrowding inside the rooms. Sections that lack the lowest necessities of human life, and during the presence of the prisoner in "Al-Jalameh" he is prohibited from visiting his relatives.
She pointed out that the legal staff of the Commission submitted a petition to the occupation court to demand the transfer of these arrested prisoners from "Al-Jalama" to the general sections in the prisons as soon as possible, but the occupation authorities, under the pretext of overcrowding inside the central prisons, are delaying their transfer.
