The Syrian News Agency reported hearing the sound of an explosion in the vicinity of the Mazzeh area in the capital Damascus, where immediate verification of its nature was conducted. It quoted a security source confirming the fall of a "source unknown" missile near Mazzeh Military Airport.

The security source clarified that the missile's impact did not result in any human casualties or material damage at the site of the fall.

In a subsequent field development, the fall of other missiles targeting the outskirts of the residential area "Mazzeh 86" in the capital Damascus was observed.
