Obstacles and international rejection.. Trump's plan to establish an international force in Gaza faces difficulties.

A newspaper revealed urgent obstacles faced by President Donald Trump's administration in its efforts to establish an international force overseeing security arrangements in the Gaza Strip as part of the 'next day' plan.

According to the extensive report, the administration recently concluded a series of talks with Western, Asian, and Arab countries that were presented with the idea of contributing ground forces to the region; however, the vast majority of these countries expressed clear hesitation or outright refusal to engage in such a mission.

The primary concerns of these countries revolve around the potential for direct friction with Gazan civilians and the risk of getting drawn into unexpected confrontations that could impose political or legal responsibilities on the participants, despite Washington's assurances that the proposed force would be non-combatant and have limited missions.

Washington is exploring alternative options to overcome these obstacles, including reducing the size of the proposed force and transforming the mission into a joint arrangement between civilian and security elements, as well as reverting to alternative regional plans if forming a multinational force in the desired manner proves unfeasible.

The main goal for Washington remains to prevent Hamas and other armed factions from regaining control of the region and to facilitate an organized transition to new governance arrangements.
