The Syrian president accuses parties of "gaining strength" from Israel and emphasizes the rejection of division.

The Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara accused some parties in his country of "leaning on Israel," emphasizing the rejection of any attempts to divide Syria. This came during a dialogue session with academics and politicians in Idlib province, where al-Shara acknowledged the existence of violations from all parties in the events of Sweida, pledging to hold those involved accountable.

The Syrian president clarified that his government's priority is the return of displaced persons and investment in the infrastructure that was destroyed by the war. He pointed out that the actions taken by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) differ from what is being negotiated, affirming that the government will not concede any part of Syrian territory.

Al-Shara stated: "We have toppled the regime in the battle to liberate Syria, and we face another battle which is the unification of the country, but it should not be through bloodshed and military force." He confirmed that Syria has the opportunity to be a leader, noting that internal unity is the true capital of the country.

Al-Shara warned that there are international parties that do not want Syria to be strong, referring to attempts to divide the country and create local cantons, but he considered this impossible under the current circumstances.

The Syrian president addressed the events in Sweida, indicating that there are violations from all parties and that the state does not have full control over the region. He confirmed that 90% of the people of Sweida have a sense of belonging to the homeland, and that the government is committed to holding those involved in the events accountable.

In another context, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani warned of "external interventions" that could lead to a civil war in the country. Al-Shara affirmed that those calling for division are "dreamers and politically ignorant," pointing out that Syrian society is not amenable to division.

Al-Shara announced the formation of a tripartite working group between Syria, Jordan, and the United States to support efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in Sweida. He explained that the mechanism for the return of state institutions in Sweida is underway, and that the events were a test for the state's situation.

Regarding investments, the Syrian president referred to strategic plans to improve international and domestic relations, in addition to addressing the issue of camps. He announced a development fund soon to collect donations from Syrian expatriates, aimed at restoring infrastructure.

Al-Shara reported that Damascus has received investments worth $28 billion since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime, expecting these investments to rise to $100 billion in the near future.
