Thirty Palestinian families were forced to dismantle their homes and leave their area in Ein Ammar, northwest of Ramallah, under pressure from settlers supported by the occupation army. This operation comes in the context of increasing assaults targeting Bedouin communities in the occupied West Bank.
The Bedouin Rights Defense Organization stated that the assaults on the Arab Jahalin community included burning homes and storages and poisoning livestock, creating a state of fear and chaos among the residents. These assaults have driven the inhabitants to leave the area.
The statement described what is happening in Ein Ayoub as organized forced displacement, aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their lands for the sake of settlement expansion. The organization confirmed that the occupation army provided protection to the settlers during their assaults.
The organization called on human rights and media institutions to take immediate action to document these violations and convey them to the world, warning that the continuation of these violations without international deterrence will lead to further displacement and assaults against Palestinians.
The general supervisor of the organization, Hassan Malihat, pointed out that the displacement targeted 30 families comprising dozens of individuals. The occupation army also announced that the Ein Ayoub community has become a closed military zone, preventing entry to non-residents.
While assaults continue in the West Bank, reports indicate that the occupation army and settlers have killed at least 1,013 Palestinians and injured about 7,000 others since the onset of the aggression.
According to a report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 466 assaults against Palestinians and their properties last July, resulting in the martyrdom of 4 citizens and the forced displacement of two Bedouin communities.
Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been subjected to comprehensive aggression, where Israel, with American support, has committed genocide including killing, starvation, and destruction, leading to the martyrdom of 61,499 Palestinians and the injury of 153,575 others.
What is happening in Ein Ayoub is organized forced displacement that falls under the policy of uprooting Palestinians from their lands.
