Hamas leader Osama Hamdan confirmed today, Sunday, that the efforts of mediators have not stopped, but his movement has not been informed of any official updates regarding the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, the broadcasting authority affiliated with the occupation entity, 'Makan', revealed intense American pressure on both sides to return to the negotiating table.
Hamdan stated in his remarks that Hamas's primary goal remains 'to stop the aggression, open the crossings, and lift the siege on the Gaza Strip', emphasizing that 'the weapon of resistance is a legitimate right as long as the occupation exists.'
Hamdan accused American envoy Steve Witkoff of 'sabotaging' the last round of negotiations, pointing out that his statements led to the halt of the negotiations.
The broadcasting authority 'Makan' reported sources saying that the American administration, in cooperation with mediators, is exerting pressure on Hamas and the occupation entity to return to negotiations before the military operation planned by the occupation entity to occupy the Gaza Strip begins.
The sources added that the door has not yet been closed on the possibility of reaching a deal, reflecting the ongoing diplomatic movement under the current circumstances.
This movement comes at a time when the security agencies in the occupation entity believe that the operation to occupy the city of Gaza could take at least six months.
The weapon of resistance is a legitimate right as long as the occupation exists, and the resistance will continue until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
