The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, said that in the largest and most shameful detention camp of the 21st century, Israel is exterminating Palestinians in one neighborhood, one hospital, and one school, with American and European weapons.
Albanese added in a statement on her X platform today, Saturday, that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians amid the indifference of all "civilized nations."
She pointed out that Israel's history of assassinating Palestinians inside and outside the country is "long, and cannot go unpunished."
She continued: "I, along with other UN experts, condemned the escalation of violence in the Middle East, and the recent round of extrajudicial killings and assassinations, from Lebanon to Iran, which may also amount to acts of aggression."
Albanese stressed that independent, transparent investigations and accountability must be part of the path to peace.
