Yinchuan (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Tuesday reported a case of bubonic plague in the regional capital of Yinchuan, according to the regional epidemic prevention and control headquarters.
The patient had returned to Yinchuan from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in north China, according to sources with the headquarters.
Ningxia launched the fourth-level emergency response for epidemic prevention and control as of 11 p.m. Tuesday, calling for efforts to fully treat the patient and implement comprehensive prevention and control measures.
