The Israeli occupation army intensified its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since the dawn of Saturday, announcing its readiness to accelerate the process of occupying the city, resulting in the death of several Palestinians and injuries. Ambulance sources in Gaza confirmed the martyrdom of 6 Palestinians from one family, including 4 children, due to an Israeli bombardment that targeted a house in the Al-Bureij camp in the center of the strip.

Earlier, local sources reported the martyrdom of 3 people and injuries to others in an Israeli airstrike on tents of displaced persons in the Al-Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City. The occupation's machinery also opened fire towards the eastern areas of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood south of the city, while artillery targeted the southern part of the Al-Sabra neighborhood.

The vicinity of the Islamic complex southeast of Gaza City was also targeted by Israeli artillery shelling, where the occupation demolished several houses in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood using explosives. The targeting of groups at aid distribution points continued, where 6 Palestinians waiting for aid were martyred by the occupation forces in the Netzarim area northwest of the Gaza Strip.

In Khan Younis, the occupation's warboats fired towards the city's beach, resulting in the death and injury of several Palestinians in a bombardment that targeted a tent sheltering displaced persons on Al-Hayya Street in the Al-Qarara town northwestern the city.

On another note, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the army is preparing to accelerate the operation aimed at occupying Gaza City, where army leaders will hold a meeting at the southern command to discuss military operations. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir is expected to arrive tomorrow, Sunday, to approve the plans for the city's occupation.

Reports indicated that the plans for the occupation of Gaza City include attempts to reduce the likelihood of endangering the hostages, while determining the size of the regular and reserve forces that will be summoned. The Israeli army also confirmed that it will try to minimize the call-up of reserve soldiers to participate in the operation.

In recent days, the Nahal forces and Brigade 7 began operations in the Al-Zeitoun area on the outskirts of Gaza City, where the occupation army announced the implementation of a series of operations on the outskirts of the city before a large attack to control it.
