50 Palestinian prisoners begin open hunger strike in Israeli jails

On Friday, 50 prisoners from “Raymond” Prison who were transferred to “Nafha” Prison submitted a letter to the Israeli Prison Administration including their declaration of an open hunger strike.

The prisoners explained in their letter that this step comes in protest against the arbitrary transfer process launched by the prison administration against them, isolating them en masse in Section (10) in (Nafha) prison until today, and detaining them in harsh conditions.

The Raymond prisoners and those who were transferred to Nafha prison announced early last week that they would begin protest steps against the prison administration’s procedures, which come in the context of the ongoing aggression against the prisoners.
