Trial of Jordanian MP Adwan begins next Wednesday

The Jordanian State Security Court will begin holding the first session of the trial of Jordanian MP Imad Al-Adwan next Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

According to the Jordanian Ammon Agency, Al-Adwan and 13 other defendants will be tried on four charges in court.

The charges against them are the crime of selling firearms with the intention of using them illegally, attempting to export firearms with the intention of using them illegally, and carrying out acts that would disrupt public order and endanger the security and safety of society.

The occupation authorities had arrested MP Al-Adwan last April, on charges of “smuggling weapons and gold,” before handing him over to his country’s authorities about a month after his arrest.
