Kuwait is committed to supporting our people and their cause
Kuwait is a generous country, especially when it comes to the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian side. Its political positions are firm on the issue and it is with it heart and soul. From a financial point of view, it was and is still providing material support to our people and institutions, as it is one of the countries that provided the most support to Al-Makassed Charitable Hospital, for example. Also, the late Faisal Al-Husseini, when he left this mortal world, left in Kuwait, where he was on a working visit to it in order to discuss with Kuwaiti officials the needs of Palestinian institutions, given that they will be the cornerstone of building the future Palestinian state.
Kuwait refused and refuses to recognize the occupying state or establish normal relations with it. On the contrary, it affirms daily that it is against the occupying state and its repressive practices and crimes committed against the Palestinian people in full view of the world.
It suffices that the Kuwaiti parliament condemns the occupation and its consequences and affirms its support for the Palestinian side and its standing by our people through thick and thin, and in all Arab, Islamic and international forums.
All of this makes Kuwait one of the sister Arab countries closest to Palestine and the Palestinian people, as it embraced the Palestinians who were and are still coming to it either for work or visits.
It also did not forget what the Palestinians offered it during the era when it declared its independence, as the Palestinians contributed in all fields to building and developing the State of Kuwait, especially in the field of education and creating a Kuwaiti generation that is conscious, educated and believes in Kuwait, Arabism and Palestine, and Kuwait is still committed to supporting Palestine in all fields. available, and rejects any ties with the occupation.
Kuwaiti players also have honorable positions, as many of them refused to play with Jewish players from the occupying country, and preferred to withdraw from matches and lose points over meeting and playing with them, in contradiction with their Arab position on Palestine.
Therefore, the Kuwaiti delegation's current visit to Palestine, which I believe is the first, during which it will meet with the Palestinian leadership and with representatives of civil society organizations and visit various Palestinian institutions, foremost of which is the visit to Jenin and its camp to declare solidarity with them and to see the crimes of the occupation committed there against people, trees and stones, is A welcome visit and will contribute to boosting the morale of our people.
And everyone has the duty to welcome the delegation and inform it of the details of the suffering of our people from the crimes of the occupation and the herds of settlers. Kuwait is an Arab country that deserves appreciation and respect from our people and its leaders.
