Israeli occupation forces issued a travel ban on Thursday against Sheikh Ekrima Sa'id Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the former Grand Mufti.
According to local sources, an Israeli intelligence officials came to Sheikh Sabri's house and handed him a travel ban for a month. The Israeli authorities have the power to extend the ban at their will.
Sabri was appointed as the Grand Mufti by Yasser Arafat in 1994, and served in the position until 2006.
He has been arrested by Israel several times.
