Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that he opposes any calls, including from his own cabinet ministers, to dismantle the Palestinian Authority.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he said that his government seeks to "strengthen" the Palestinian Authority, describing accusations that his government is trying to weaken the authority as "ridiculous."
Netanyahu reaffirmed the need to stop settler attacks in the West Bank and not to take the law into their own hands.
