Biden and his vice president file their 2022 tax returns

US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris released their 2022 federal tax returns on Tuesday.

Biden and his wife jointly filed their income tax returns and reported adjusted federal gross income of $579,514, according to the White House.

Biden and his wife paid $169,820 in federal income tax and in Delaware and Virginia combined. Their effective federal income tax rate for 2022 is 23.8 percent.

Harris and her husband reported an adjusted federal gross income of $456,918 and paid $93,570 in federal income tax.
